    Cases of carbon dioxide occurences in the mines of the Bohemian Massif are described including neighbouring Poland parts with very similar geology. The mining activities enabled to get information on the carbon dioxide storage under natural conditions ofthe massif. Also, results of the adsorption measurements of carbon dioxide and methane on coal from Czech part of the Upper Silesian basin are reported, including comparative measurements on coals from polish part of the Intra-sudetic basin.
