This study deals with basic principles and concepts of bioinformatics. The main section contains an overview focused on the sequence data and work with it, assessing the similarity between sequences, a process of local and global alignment and use of heuristic BLAST algorithm in bioinformatics. Practical examples include research on a two-sample comparison using BLAST with subsequent analysis.
