Research methods focused on determining the grain size distributions of landslide (or landslide dam) material have never been standardised and the grain size distribution is usually assessed only by partial measurement or rough estimation. This is oftencaused by the composition of the landslide material which contains a wide range of particle sizes from blocks of tens of cubic metres, to clay fractions. In the presented study, method of digital photo-granulometry was used in order to determine the grain size distribution of landslide dams in Lučovec and Malá Brodská valleys (Outer Western Carpathians, Czech Republic).
