The article describes methods and preliminary results of error analysis based on educational research in teaching mathematicalinformatics. We present our error typology through hierarchical evaluation of students test. The method is based ondiagnostic error vector with variable evaluation criteria. It provides weak and strong evaluation of students' performance.
