Specific mistakes made by students in teaching of parametric modelling
Original language description
The current trend in the design of objects (and not only of a technical nature) is applying the approach of parametric modeling. Parametric program-ming imposes high demands to students in the area of logical thinking and spa-tial imagination. Learning to solve problems is based on the fact that students acquire ability to search independently for solutions, strategies and decision in alternative situations. The aim of this work is to produce (mainly for appropri-ately targeted educational community) the most frequently occurring specific errors arising in the learning process of parametric modeling and suggest methods to eliminate some of them. Authors introduce and characterize briefly 23 main kinds of errors in the article. Errors are evaluated by their frequency and other characteristics, divided into categories. Results are based on authors own research and experiences.
