Computer Aided Testing of Children´s Memory
Original language description
This article presents the results of a pilot memory testing of 5th grade pupils with the use of computers. This memory testing is an innovative addition to the diagnostics of pupils? skills done by the Society for School Quality, o.s. The diagnostics assesses the success rate of utilising school knowledge. Although the testing of pupils is focused on applied skills rather than knowledge, the creation of the test set presupposed certain minimal memory level. The test results show that the newly created memory tests have a statistically significant level of correlation with the results of individual assessed school disciplines. This tool could therefore be used as a partial, moderate predictor of school success rate.
