    The article is a contribution to building a strong professional position of theICT coordinator at school. He is an increasingly important subject ofimplementing new technologies of education and application of relevant trends.The article analyzes on the example University of Ostrava existing professional(qualification) training of ICT coordinators, reflects the study of their workactivities in schools and defines the goals and content of their training to achievethe required competence for work tasks currently performed. The paper is theoutput of the project IrNET - International research network for study anddevelopment of new tools and methods for advanced pedagogical science in thefield of ICT instruments, e-learning and intercultural competences.
