The paper looks more closely at the thefts at schools of pupils aged 11 to 15 from the point of view of their personal, family and school context. It presents the reasons which make pupils steal based on expert resources and researches. It also presents the most common ways of dealing with thefts at Czech schools. The paper opens the question of the need of cooperation of more fields in effective work with these children. Educative and formative means of working with children within school are insufficient, not only the pupil but usually family maybe even the community needs to be dealt with as for the social and psychological services and tools provision.
