    Experimental measurement and numerical simulation of dynamic thermal performance of external timber frame wall

    This article presents the results of a comparative study of the thermal performance of the external timber frame walls by using the experimental measurement and numerical simulations. The measurements were taken on an experimental timber frame passive house during the summer month. The numerical modeling of the external wall was solved using the dynamic simulation program ANSYS. The results of research are presented and discussed. It is shown that the numerical simulation methods are suitable tools forthe prediction of the thermal performance of the light-weight timber-frame structures.
