In this paper are presented detail descriptions of the calculation procedures proposed by the standards for the slab-on-ground heat transfer and the results of an in situ experiment designed to monitor the thermal behaviour of a real slab-on-ground floor. In the following paragraphs are describes and compared the analytical detailed calculation procedure of CSN EN ISO 13370:2009, analytical simplified method of CSN EN 12831:2004 and numerical simulation methods of CSN EN ISO 10211:2009. Different boundary conditions (external design temperatures and external measured temperatures) have been used. The ground temperatures are not included in the calculation procedures, only the thermal conductivity of the ground is respected. In particular, a two-dimensional simulation is compared to data measured from an experimental site over a one year period.
