Sunlight in Building Interiors
Original language description
The impact of daylight and the sun in building interiors on human health is incontrovertible. The paper focuses on the evaluation of the effects of direct sunlight on a person, from both the perspective of current legislative requirements and in terms of its influence on a person's health. The aim of correct building design is to create a comfortable, pleasant environment for its occupants, with plenty of natural light and direct sunlight, meeting both the normative legislative requirements and our biological needs at the same time. The paper presents the current state of normative requirements for the insolation of buildings, and draws attention to the changes brought by the new European standard CSN EN 17037: 2019 Daylighting of Buildings. Both specialized software tools and simple graphic aids can be used to assess the duration of insolation in the design of buildings. The paper introduces some of these and points out the advantages and disadvantages of each.
