    OBTAINING THE COORDINATES OF THE POSITION OF THE SPHERE FROM VIDEO FOOTAGE

    The ball vibration absorber is a compact and low-maintenance passive damping device. However, its non-linear nature introduces complications such as motion instabilities, bifurcations, and autoparametric oscillations. This paper presents an algorithm for tracking the motion of the ball in experimental setups through video analysis. The algorithm employs the circular Hough transform to reliably detect the ball and determine its center position in each video frame. The motion data extracted from free oscillations provide valuable insights into the dynamic behavior and properties of the system.
