Original language description
European standards for the design of building constructions, so-called Eurocodes, give a possibility of designing steel constructions considering fire effects based on calculations. This article presents primarily basic principles and rules for the design of steel constructions (members) with regard to fire effects. Furthermore, it describes the basic steps of the computer program enabling the control of fire resistance of steel members.
