The contribution deals with problems of timely detection of fire in dwelling and accommodation buildings. On the basis of the analysis of central data on fires in this type of structures in the Czech Republic, the possible mitigation of consequences of fires in these structures by means of domestic fire alarms is shown.

Příspěvek se zabývá problematikou včasné detekce požáru v budovách pro bydlení a ubytování. Na základě rozboru statistiky požárů v tomto typu objektů v ČR je ukázáno možné snížení následků požárů v těchto objektech pomocí bytových hlásičů požáru.
