Analysis of transient load on steel envelope structure

Original language description

The contribution analyses the response of a wall element to the effects of incident air blast wave of partly confined deflagration. ? set of experiments on vented methan-air mixture explosions with stoichiometric concentration values was executed. Measurements were carried out in the small-scale model at ambient conditions. Two simplified models of experimentally determined courses of blast curves were used. Blast waves parameters generated by the explosion are defined for envelope structures formed bysteel walls. The response of the assessed structure to the blast load is calculated on the created 3D numerical models. Results of FEM analysis of steel walls were compared to the values obtained from the experiments.
