EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES ON PROCESS OF METHANE-AIR SYSTEM EXPLOSION IN UNDERGROUND STRUCTURES
Original language description
This paper presents the results of full-scale field tests of methane-air system explosion in a tunnel. The experiments were performed by the Scientific-Research Coal Institute VVUU. Time-dependent measurements of the response of the underground structures to the blast wave loads were successfully recorded using a variety of measurement devices. Methane-air chambers 5, 10 and 20m in length were generated during experimental measurements, and the transition of explosion transformations into the accelerated deflagration mode was monitored.
