Original language description
When an extraordinary event occurs, rescue system bodies are expected to respond promptly, quickly and effectively. The response of the rescue system to an extraordinary event consists of tasks and measures carried out by rescue system bodies during the extraordinary event. The article deals with the modelling of responses of rescue system bodies to extraordinary events in an area. The main aim of the paper is to show utilization of queuing theory in rescue system field. The paper presents an application of an open queuing theory model as a model of rescue system responses to extraordinary events in an area. The model is focused on fire units, especially fire units with the special vehicle. This model and its parameters are based on empirical data.
