The paper deals with a unified approach to PI and PID digital and analog controllers tuning for monotone self-regulating plants with a time delay by the desired model method. The approach is in principle analytic-experimental and it is based on delta models and D-transform. Its advantage is simplicity and possibility to controller tuning for the step change of a desired variable or a disturbance variable acting on an output of a controlled plant. The resultant control process can be with the desired relative overshoot from 0 to 50 %
