Analysis of the Rock bursts consequence for arch tunnel support

  • Original language description

One of the main safety problems of coal mines in the Czech part of the Upper Silesian Coal Basin are rock bursts. Their strong effect occurs first of all in gate-roads. To understand the mechanisms of damage the behaviour of roadway steel arch support under dynamic loading was mathematically modelled. Numerical solution was done by program ANSYS with bilinear material properties of steel. Different shape and size of steel arches were modelled and inverse analysis of loading impulse was done. For investigating of strain and kinetic energy in course of dynamic response the macro in APDL language of ANSYS has been developed. Results of modelling including influence of contact quality between support and rock are discussed.
