This report deals with the robotics development between the FME conferences in. 1985 - 2005 and the possibility of further exchange of knowledge in the area of service robotics. The specifics of the conference held in odd years should include the focus on applied and industrial research, as well as the issues of the service and mechatronic system development. A big emphasis is put on the transfer of knowledge between the company developers and university research personnel, defining the issues of the applied research and intensifying the innovation in the service activity automation. The virtual prototype designing becomes a significant and necessary tool of the mechatronic system development.

Příspěvek se zabývá vývojem robotiky mezi konferencemi FME v období r. 1985 ? 2005 a možností další výměny poznatků v oblasti servisní robotiky. Specifikou konference konané v lichých letech by mělo být zaměření na aplikovaný a průmyslový výzkum a také problémy vývoje servisních a mechatronických systémů. Značný důraz je kladen na transfer poznatků mezi vývojáři firem a výzkumníky VŠ, k definici problémů pro aplikovaný výzkum a zintenzivnění inovací při automatizaci servisních činností. Významným a nezbytným nástrojem úspěšného vývoje mechatronických systémů se stává virtuální prototypování.
