Original language description
Guided Lamb waves are widely used for qualitative analysis of damage in various types of structures. An important factor for generally successful analysis is the incorporation of suitable excitation method of the desired mode of Lamb wave. This article is aimed to qualitatively evaluate four different methods of excitation of a particular mode of Lamb wave, namely excitation by longitudinal waves with the use of liquid and plexiglass wedge, excitation by longitudinal waves with the use of comb-structure element and excitation by longitudinal waves with the use of the transducer in itself, placed on the surface. © 2017 Technical University of Košice - Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
