    Roundabout capacity analysis based on cloud simulation in witness

  • Original language description

    The article deals with a general simulation model which has been created to analyse capacity of single-lane roundabouts. The simulation model is created in Witness and all input data that must be provided by users are defined via a web application which has been programmed to communicate with the general simulation model. The web application also presents some results of simulation experiments; the user can get for example information about queue lengths or waiting times. In the article the simulation results are compared with results of capacity analysis done according to the Czech technical rules TP 234 which are based on mathematical models.
