Original language description
The transmission error is a universal quantity, describing in summary all other imperfections of the gearing, arising mainly from compensation deviations. A closed test stand was built to analyze the conversion error. It consists of two opposite gearboxes connected in a closed circuit. Incremental encoders giving 5,000 pulses per revolution are installed on the shafts on the side of the tested gears. Based on these impulses, the instantaneous mutual angular rotation of the pinion and the gear is then evaluated, and from this difference the transmission error is then evaluated.
