Experimental and Computational Modal Analysis of the Newly Designed Rotor Rig

  • Original language description

The designed experimental rotor rig is intended to analyse the dynamical behaviour of the hydrodynamic bearing lubricated with magnetically sensitive fluids such as ferrofluids, magnetorheological oils or nano-micro composite magnetic fluids. These magnetically sensitive lubricants allow us to improve the vibration response of the studied hydrodynamic bearing. The main emphasis of this paper is to present the experimental and computational modal analysis of the foundation desk, base element, parts of the rig and its selected assemblies. The results show that the computed and measured modal parameters are in good agreement.
