Original language description
The development of computer technology and efficient numerical methods give tool for expansion of SBRA (Simulation-based Reliability Assessment Method) to systems. Modern iterative methods, such as the domain decomposition methods, give general frameworkfor exploitation of any specific structure of such problems. Moreover, since it seems rather easy to distribute the simulation into a number of independent problems with very little communication, the problems arising from SBRA method seem ideally suited for parallel computation.
