    This paper deals with the accuracy of evaluation of voltage and current parameters and circuit parameters in a measuring point of an electrical circuit. The parameters are determined from digitized voltage and current signals acquired by digital measuring instruments. The most important integral parameters of a alternating, periodic voltage and current waveform as their root mean square (rms), the apparent power, the active power, the reactive power and the basic (equivalent) circuit parameters as the resistance, the induc-tance and the capacitance are discussed. The influence of the digitization of distorted volt-age and current waveforms on the evaluation of the above mentioned parameters is verified by simulation for experimental measured voltage and current waveforms.
