With the increasing amount of energetic sources based on fuel cells applications raise the meaning of introducing the workers and students (operators) with the base of work the fuel cells, how to avoid basic mistakes and how to find (set) and increase the electrical power supplied by this source. In this paper we will focused on description of the fuel cell operating voltage and we will give some examples how to increase this voltage by the changing physical parameters or by possible changing in construction of the fuel cell. During explanation we will speak about Tafel equations, we will use entropy, enthalpy and Gibbs free energy of formation for help. The final result of the paper will be the finding out the operation point of the concrete PEM FuelCell. rostoucím množstvím energetických zdrojù založených na aplikacích palivových èlánkù se zvyšuje význam informovanosti pracovníkù a studentù se základy práce s palivovými èlánky, jak se vyhnout základním chybám a jak najít (nastavit) a zvýšit dodávku elektøiny tímto zdrojem. Tento èlánek bude zamìøený na popis provozního napìtí palivového èlánku. Budou uvedeny nìkteré pøíklady možností zvýšení napìtí èlánku zmìnou fyzikálních parametrù nebo možnou zmìnou ve stavbì palivového èlánku. Bìhem výkladu my budeme mluvit o Tafelových rovnicích, ve kteréch budeme používat entropii, entalpii a Gibbsovu volnou energii formace.
