The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, which was founded as an independent faculty in 1990, is developing in line with the needs of restructuring of industry in the North Moravian region in the Czech Republic. Mutual active collaboration with big industrial and power companies, as well as smaller private firms, is essential to the faculty in terms of education and also science and research. For example the faculty enjoys long-term collaboration with Faculty of Electrical Engineeringand Automation, Technical University of Opole in Poland; this collaboration intensified after accession of both countries to the EU. Collaboration developed both in the education and research areas. The result of this long-term collaboration is a project under the close-border cooperation programme INTERREG. Also, the faculty accomplishes the mobility of students and teachers above all in the Erasmus programme, which sooner was included in the Socrates programme; from this year the Eras

Mezinárodní pedagogická spolupráce v oblasti elektrotechniky a informatiky

Czech description

Fakulta elektrotechniky a informatiky, která vznikla jako samostatná fakulta v roce 1990, se rozvíjí v souladu s potřebami restrukturalizace průmyslu v Severomoravském regionu České republiky. Vzájemná aktivní spolupráce s velkými průmyslovými a energetickými společnostmi i soukromými firmami je pro fakultu životně důležitá a to jak v oblasti vzdělávací, tak i v oblasti vědy a výzkumu. Fakulta například dlouhodobě spolupracuje s Wydzialem Elektrotechniki i Automatyki, Politechniki Opolskej v Polsku, tato spolupráce se prohloubila po vstupu obou zemí do Evropské unie. Spolupráce se rozvíjela jak v oblasti pedagogické, tak i v oblasti vědeckovýzkumné. Výsledkem této dlouhodobé spolupráce je pak společný projekt v rámci příhraniční spolupráce INTERREG. Fakulta rovněž uskutečňuje mobility studentů a pedagogů především v rámci programu Erasmus, který dříve patřil pod program Socrates, a od letošního roku patří pod nový program Lifelong Learning Programme.
