Original language description
This paper deals with the option of utilising fuel cells (FC) with the proton exchange membrane (PEM) within electric energy accumulation systems with renewable energy resources. The article provides a view onto the arrangement and functioning of such accumulation systems. Special attention is paid to the very fuel cell, which represents the fundamental feature of the said accumulation system. The article refers to the structure of PEM cell, its losses and efficiency. The experimental section deals withlong-term measurement and determination of degradation as well as definition of the essential indicators of reliability.
