Original language description
This paper deals with the WRED (Weighted Random Early Detection) algorithm and its influence on the transmission delay in data networks. It will be shown results of round-trip delay measurements in dependence on the load in an experimental network with implemented different types of WRED profiles. These WRED profiles have different values of the minimum threshold, the maximum threshold, and the limit percentage of discarded packets.
