    On solution of 3D contact shape optimization problems with Coulomb friction based on domain decomposition

    The paper deals with discretized problem of 3D contact shape optimization with Coulomb friction. It is shown that for sufficiently small coefficients of friction the discretized contact problem with Coulomb friction has a unique solution and the state variables are Lipschitzian functions of the design variables describing the shape of the elastic body. The uniqueness of the solution of the 3D contact problem for fixed design variables enables us to apply the so-called implicit programming approach. Itsmain idea consists in minimization of a nondifferentiable (nonsmooth) composite function generated by the objective function and the (single-valued) control-state mapping. For the solution of this nonsmooth problem we use our Matlab implementation of bundle trust method proposed by citeN{SchZow92}. In each step of the iteration process, we must be able to find the solution of the state problem (3D contact problem with Coulomb friction) and to compute one arbitrary Clarke subgradient. To
