    The article describes using of power semiconductor converters in the area of accumulation of electrical energy in the Technology Centre Ostrava (TCO). Further discloses design of the power semiconductor converters, its internal structure, utilization of energy and the main parameters and focuses on the issues of the capacitor bank-determine the power loss of capacitors, determine the lifetime, determination of optimal values of balance resistors, appropriate choice of balance system, including a description of the advantages and disadvantages of each system. In conclusion of the article is intended power dissipation of balance resistors by using a simulation model and experimental verification of measurement with thermal camera. © 2017 IEEE.
