The potential of satellite imagination technology for industrial corporate: A study

Original language description

Satellite images are acquired and provided in the digital form. The raw images and data are transferred from the satellite on the ground transferring stations during each flyover. Therefore, the data may be described using several physical quantities on the basic image unit – pixel. The satellite images may be acquired in different quality with a wide range of sensors. The main sensor types are optical and radar. The optical sensors are passive, i.e. they do not transmit any signal, but only receive a natural reflection of the sun radiance from the ground. The radar sensors need to transmit signals and receive its reflection from the ground in different wavelength and measures the time the signal needed to return
