Original language description
Opencast coal mining represents not only an economic contribution for the mining company but it has also a negative impact to evironment. Such mining company must prevent and/or minimalize general danger and has to perform a reclamation of devastated area according to the present laws. A considerably financial amount is usually needed for realization of this reclamation. The respective mining company is obliged to create financial reserves for covering of additional costs already during the mining operation. The liability of production, proper utilization and drawing off these financial reserves results from the mining act.
