Testing of induced frequencies during submerged use of water jets
Original language description
The paper is aimed at the experimental study of frequencies generated by submerged water jets. The problem was indicated in practice during application of water jets for material disintegration under water level. The operators described their feelings similarly to the effects of ultrasonic or infrasonic waves. The tests were performed in the pressure vessel. The noise-meter with the frequency analyser was used for measurement of generated waves and evaluation of their intensities. Several outlet nozzleswere tested and it is concluded that the ultrasonic component of generated waves is very important. The most important results are presented in the paper.
