Gas conditions play a significant role in problems of the occurrence of anomalous phenomenon phenomenon of coal and gas outbursts. In article I am concerned with the assessment of gas emission rate of coal seams in the Ostrava-Karvina measured.These works were done in various localities of the Czech part of Upper Silesian Basin (Czech Republic) during drill-hole hard coal exploratition in the course of aboud 30 years. Moreover, gas drainage as preventive measure to reduce a coal and gas outburst hazardwill be mentioned in the article as Well.
