The paper deals with an evaluation of flotation application suitability in the sediments decontamination from the Černy příkop river situated in the City of Ostrava. The sediments content harmful pollutants comprised of organic pollutants in high concentrations. Flotation of organic pollutants is very effective and more than 70 % of NEL, 90 % of PCB and 80 % of PAH from the sediments was removed.
