The Role of Four Engineering-geological Factors for the Future Development in the Districts of Koblov and Antošovice

  • Original language description

The paper deals with the issue of the implementation of selected natural factors into entry conditions, especially for the needs of future construction via land-use planning. Currently, developers and investors are not well informed about such factors orthe land-use planning authorities do not take those natural conditions into account as marginal conditions affecting the local plan. There are a number of natural conditions while this paper focuses only on four of them ? flood lands, radon hazard, undermining and slope movements. The research was carried out in the area numbered 3, which is one out of five realized model areas in the future. It is located in Ostrava, the third largest agglomeration in the north-west of the Czech Republic, which has been most affected by anthropogenic industrial and mining activities among the Czech cities as well as in the European scope. The area is defined by a map sheet 15-41-25 in the district of Koblov, Antošovice and outside Ostrava it reaches t
