Original language description
This paper deals with the natural processes taking place in area with end-mining activities in the city of Ostrava, especially Hrusov mine. One of the problems, which we can encounter with in areas with end-mining activities in underground coal mines, issituation, where methane escapes from the residual part of the mining of coal beds. Article responds to the need for knowledge of natural processes in this field, and therefore it deals with modeling and simulation of methane flow from the underground to the surface through the rocks. The model of the natural environment is based on information which was gathered (obtained) during solving the Grant GACR No. 105/98/KO45. Exclusiveness of our approach is visualization and demonstration how gas will behave in porous media model in different conditions of our test examples. Without the use of numerical flow technology, generally known as CFD programs, we can very hardly understand and almost never see the situation in the underground.
