Model and the Current Situation of Most Lake
Original language description
This article summarizes the basic facts about Lake Most and theoretical prerequisites necessary for the creation of a dynamic model. The region of the town Most in northern Bohemia (Czech Republic) is affected by extensive surface mining operations. LakeMost is a result of anthropogenic activities, an example of land reclamation where worked-out mine areas are being flooded. The lake has no natural inflow or outflow and there is concern that the lake water level will not stabilize at the desired height. Our intention is to create a balance model capable of predicting the lake water level behavior. Currently, the process of modeling the behavior of Lake Most is in the initial phase. The project team created a basic frame of the model, which will expandgradually as important relationships and variables of the model are identified.
