A current global business environment is very dynamic, complex and uncertain. Doing a successful business consists in ensuring the long term sustainable competitive advantage. The key element of this benefit constitutes particularly human resources therefore the requirements on employee work performance are constantly increasing. Significant emphasis is especially placed on the employee managerial competences. These competences can be classified in many ways. A hyperdimensional taxonomy of managerial competences appears as comprehensive, universal and specific classification concurrently. The evaluation of importance, expected and practical employee managerial competence level, appraised from perspective of work experienced university students, is theaim of the article. The results of the research can be used to improve educational processes in companies and educational institutions.
