INFLUENCE OF DIFFERENT HEATING STRATEGIES ON STRESS-STRAIN BEHAVIOUR OF CONTINUOUSLY CAST BLOOM WITH AND WITHOUT INTERNAL DEFECT
Original language description
Four models of transverse cut of continuously cast round blooms with and without internal tricuspid defect were used for FEM simulations. The calculations included two different heating strategies (two and four hours) for heating up to 800 °C. Results clearly demonstrates that stress-strain behaviour of the blooms center is preferably influenced by defect presence and crack grow may be significantly reduced by proper choice of heating strategy.
