    Old mining waste (dumps, teilings, AMD) represent one of the most important sources of the environmental risk. They have usually complex negative influence on all components of the landscape. Although we can observe during last decades changes in the sense with respect to the old mining waste problem, i tis still in the sphere of interest of the environmentalists. They present still new, better and more complex solutions, remediation techniques. The article present the most important problems connectedwith the mining wastes and the most often utilised remediation technologies and environmental engineering porocesses used for the landscape sanitation and revitalisation.
