POSSIBILITY OF DIGESTATE AS ALTERNAVIVE FERTILIZER OF CULTURAL PLANTS
Original language description
Anaerobic digestion has become very popular in recent years and is widely used as a source of renewable energy. The main question is how to evaluate the secondary product, which is generated by biogas reactors, effectively. Digestate is a good source of quickly releasable nitrogen and can partially replace fertilizing manure or mineral nitrogen fertilizer application. In the practical part, the article focuses on the use of digestate liquor (liquid phase) and digestate fibre (solid phase) from Biogas plant Stonava as an alternative fertilizer for agricultural purposes. The results from the field and laboratory experiment are presented, including the results of analysis of soils and biomass plants after the application of digestate liquor and fibre and the subsequent comparison of the fertilizing effects of both phases of digestate with commonly used chemical fertilizer.
