Flotation of mining water sludge in order to recover lead to the concentrate
Original language description
Flotation is one of methods of obtaining metals from fine-grained materials. [1], [2] This article focuses on the possibility of enriching the flotation concentrate in lead. Flotated raw material was sludge was from mining water from the former ore treatment plant and neutralizing stations in Zlaté Hory (the Golden Mountains), where gold was mined in the past. At present, the sludge sediments in the settling pond, and it is periodically excavated. In addition to lead, the sludge contains a higher concentration of other metals, such as Cu, Pd, Au and Sn. In the experimental part, several flotation tests were carried out in acidic, neutral and an alkaline environment. For a sharper separation, repurification flotations were also performed. The results showed that the best values were achieved at neutral pH. In terms of the concentrate revenue and a slight increase in metal content (compared to the feed), the amount of the raw material at least reduced to approximately 60 %. Flotation und
