Original language description
This poster was presented at an international conference TaLC in Ireland. It shares the initial stages of building a Czech Phrasebank. The Phrasebank will draw on a corpus of Czech academic articles published in the past 10 years in research journals across disciplines, listed in WoS and/or Scopus. It is being built by an interdisciplinary teams from the Czech National Corpus, Czech language Institute, and VSB-TUO. The phrasebank will be directly linked to the corpus, allowing the users to see the phrases in their original context and will serve both, research as well as teaching purposes. Our project will culminate with writing a teaching guide with recommendations on how the phrasebank can be used in classroom instruction.
