Thermodynamical Properties of the Oxidic Melts of FeO-SiO2, MnO-SiO2 a FeO-MnO-SiO2
Original language description
In this work attention is devoted to the thermodynamics of the oxidic melts of FeO-SiO2, MnO-SiO2 and FeO-MnO-SiO2 type. The dependence of activities of the relevant oxides on composition is calculated for various temperatures; moreover, the calculationswere made with the integral mixing enthalpy, the integral mixing free enthalpy and the integral mixing entropy at different temperatures. The calculations indicate that the two oxides MnO-SiO2 provide more expressive influence on their mutual activity than the oxides of the FeO-SiO2 system and also the dependence of activity of the two oxides on temperature is much more obvious if compared with the MnO-SiO2 system. In addition the obtained results show the behaviour of such melts to be similar to thatof semiconductors.
