    The primary cooling area of the continuous cast of the steel is represented above all by the mould. The mould warrants of its function the heat removal out from the solidifing steel and thereby it warrants the formation of the solidify casting rim. The heat removal out from the blank in the mould markedly influences the blank quality. The research of solidification process of primary cooling zone is based on appraing of temperature profiles over the height of mould.
