  • Original language description

    High strength steels with good formability are used for weight reduction in automobile industry especially. TRIP steels are one of these groups of high strength steels. Properties of TRIP steels, like tensile strength to 1200 MPa and elongation to 35%, make them promising for further replacement of common low carbon steels. Microstructure of TRIP steels is attractive cause it is made up by multiphase structure of polygonal ferrite, pearlite, bainite, acicular ferrite and certain amount of retained austenite. In consequence of TRIP effect processing during subsequent cold forming retained austenite increases strength to ductility balance. Mechanical properties of TRIP steels are strongly affected by retained austenite volume fraction and stability.In this work the influence of hot deformation on retained austenite volume fraction in C-Mn-Si TRIP steel is elaborated.
