Influence of flowing of steel in ceramic filter on efficiency of filtration
Original language description
The paper describes results of investigation of influence of type of steel flow on efficiency of its filtration. Four series of experiments were realised in laboratory conditions, during which the filtered steel was de-oxidised by aluminium, as well as by silicon and manganese. Two types of strainer ceramic filters were used for filtration, and flowing molten steel had different values of Reynolds numbers during passage through these filters. Filtration efficiency was determined on the basis of change of number of non-metallic inclusions, contamination of viewing field and also in accordance with the standard DIN 50602.
